Juanita Devis Clavijo

Juanita Devis is a CityScience Advisor for the City Science Group, at the MIT Media Lab.

Her research combines architecture and urban design, technology and computer science, to investigate new strategies for future places of living and work. She is currently involved in the Andorra Living Lab project, which combines different research topics (Tourism, Innovation, Energy & Environment, Mobility, Dynamic urban planning) for the future urban challenges of the country. She is contributing in a unique initiative to provide research, knowledge, methods and tools to carry out such transformation.

In 2014, she received the Master in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, Italy. Passionate about architecture, urban planning, and design, her interests span from incremental self-construction in developing countries to understanding how people perceive and dwell in the cities and spaces and how technology can have a role in understanding and shaping them. She is enthusiastic in working in interdisciplinary contexts and always open to new stimulating working experiences.

While not working, you can find her travelling, sketching, or scuba diving.
